Somehow, me, the Disney Freakazoid, never got into the Kingdom Hearts game, and I’ve never done Kingdom Hearts fan art before this, but actually it’s a lot of fun! This is the sketch of my half of an art trade I’m currently having with ~getSPUN ; he is drawing my characters, Brandywine and Errol, and I agreed to do his Kingdom Hearts fan character, the lovely Sid. Sid, from what I’ve learned from her creator, was designed to represent the neutral side of the Kingdom Hearts… realm… I don’t know what else to call it… and she works with characters from Disney movies who were “not evil, just misunderstood”. This is why I drew the Cheshire Cat and Stitch with her, because he’s designated those two as being her characters.

Uhg, I took maybe too much liberty with this drawing. I should have gone back to check if I got her clothes right, but I got into the long sleeves and so after scanning it, I realized to my dismay that the sleeves actually cut at about three quarters down her arm. I feel pretty remorseful for that easily-avoidable mistake, especially since I lapsed into a quixotic frenzy embellishing her keyblade. I thought since Sid’s characters were the Cheshire Cat and Stitch, it would be cool if something on her key represented them—if you look, in the middle of the key’s head there’s a shape of a teacup (teacups technically have nothing to do with the Cheshire cat except that maybe he was the one who led Alice to the Mad Hatter, but…, and on the end of the key, in the middle of the two big rings, there are surfboards for Stitch. Of course, ~getSPUN , if you want me to fix Sid’s shirt and dress down her key, PLEASE don’t hesitate to tell me.

Stitch and the Cheshire Cat's face are bugging me to no end; those two might change before I do the final version.
