Rule of thumb: When coming across someone you haven't seen in days, weeks, months, or years and you notice that they're slightly different whether it'd be in real life or in fiction... Do not under any circumstance... *clears throat*... Say that they are "fat" because if you do, they'll rather take offense to what you said and shun you away from them or in the case of fiction use different means to get back at their offenders.

I love how shiny and vibrant the colors are. Some comics and other artists tend to use duller or darker things, even with comics that feature things like weight gain or lighter subject matter.
