If this WAS the real end, it'd be one of the best, most high effort trolls I've ever seen. Its simultaneously satisfying and confusing as hell. Smug Frisk in panel seven is the best thing.

Thanks a lot haha
In my imagination, if I ever lose my mind and decide to end it immediately. This ending would be the result. xD
At least it solves the main issue in the story and it's entertaining, but I believe it would still make people angry or disappointed if this was the real ending lol

No matter what you do someone will be angry and disappointed, this is the internet. Its a great '@#$! it I'm done with this' ending, much better than the traditional 'rocks fall and everybody dies'.

It's just a prediction of how cheap it would be if this joke is the real ending xD
But you're definitely right. I can't really write the story to satisfy everyone (or even most of the people)
I can only write it for myself.
And the killing everyone in the story as a "traditional ending" is something I always can't understand xD

Oh, 'rocks fall and everyone dies' is a joke...some one at some point got tired of writing their story, and didn't bother coming up with any sort of end, they literally just had rocks fall and kill everyone, the end. It became a joke around certain parts that if you write yourself into a corner or don't want to write this story anymore, you can just end it that way, and now its sort of a...I guess you could call it an old school meme. Its almost a saying now, when talking about badly ended stories or stories that you don't know how to end.

Wow, thank you so much for the detail explanation. I didn't know this (or at least, most parts of them)
I had actually seen several story writers or comic creators just send their protagonists to death because they don't want to continue the story anymore. I just can't understand why killing the characters can be kind of traditional way to end a story that it even has become a joke xD

I think its just the easy way for someone to quickly and lazily finish something so that people can't keep bugging them about when the 'next part' is coming out.

I got the idea, I just don't understand why they just have to kill the character xD
The character can end up working or doing something as they have a life somewhere, it can still be an end.
By contrast, even if you decide to kill the protagonist in order to end the story, you might have to start it again anyway as long as the readers don't accept the ending. (Sherlock Holmes for example)

That's actually a really good example. In the original 'death' of Holmes, it was left kind of ambiguous, he fell down a waterfall and his body was never found. It left people intrigued and wanting more. A confirmed death wouldn't have been satisfying, but it would have given the author an easy out...he's dead, its over, deal with it. Another example is the Earth's Children series, by Jean M Auel. She wrote five books, originally, and that was her end. She set the main character up with a new life with new people, having gone through a whole life if trials and triumphs, pitfalls and learning experiences. She had a home, a new husband, a baby on the way, the three main things she had always longed for in life. She was accepted by her new people and all the loose ends were tied up. It was a great ending. But people wanted more, so they nagged and begged and cajoled until she finally wrote another one, and its not as good as the others because she was half assing it. Still didn't kill off the characters at the end, and so people are still harassing her for more.
I did see one super lazy ending that tied up all the loose ends and didn't kill off the characters...a comic that I think was called the Nob the Blob. One character gets fed up with all the problems in his life and pulls out a jar of 'deus ex machina', which instantly and automatically solves all the problems in the world and makes everyone happy and there's nothing left to do. The end.
