Description
Nine Inch Nails...With-ah TEETH-uggh!15X20 on fiber board. The Reznor figure was drawn first, and a lot of the textures and effects at the very surface level were also all painted effects. I used photoshop to compose it all and to add the pixel look at the bottom. printed it all out and mounted it to the board. had fun with oil paint after that.
inspired by nin. technique inspired and influenced by the brilliant Kevin Rolly (kevissimo) everyone should see Kevin's work if they haven't already. He's one of today's truest and greatest in my own opinion.[link]

That record was an instant classic! If I could buy a print, I definitely would. I still wish the record was called BLEEDING THROUGH like it would have been at first; the concept sounded heavier, but what the hell? Great job!

I love this and the Tool one. I hope you got to catch Tool on their tour this past year, I missed NIN, but I at least got to see one of the first performances of Wings For Marie live ([link] ). You certainly have great taste in music judging from the selection that has inspired your art.
Here's hoping Tool swings close by on their next run through North America!

Thanks! I did get to catch Tool last year. I was at the Staples center the night they debuted Wings for Marie..VERY emotional night, very best concert I've ever been to. They're coming back to San Diego in March, but I'll have to skip that show...it's my Mom's birthday.

"With-ah TEETH-uggh!" Heh, that so describes the sound of the chorus.
Seems like a younger Reznor in this pic. You can really see it's him, and I don't mean only his face, his pose also screams "Trent Reznor"
I also like the blotches of colour in the background, overall a very good picture!

Just saw Trent last night, (with the buzz cut sadly.. XD ) and seeing this just clicked the whole concert together in my head. The pose, how he's hanging off that microphone like his life depends on it.. his nose and mouth, (and teeth!! even the TEETH!) the whole expression, you captured it. Ah, I'll stop rambling now, just great work and thanks for sharing this.

oh, hey, thanks for letting me know you like it! Wasn't NIN fantastic?! saw them at the Hollywood Bowl in Oct. I had the opportunity to catch 'em again, but I'm broke. they're worth seeing multiple times, for sure.
