That's awesome ! It just misses some pupils. Or maybe she's using some power she has in Buffy...

It really looks like her, even her pointy little hairline haha. The painted version looks really nice, I'd buy it if I could afford!

Do you sell sculptures like this?
π: 0 β©: 1
TrevorGrove In reply to loveisallyouneed98 [2011-01-11 21:20:41 +0000 UTC]
This particular sculpt was for a statue produced by Sideshow Collectibles that will come out later in the year.
I sell castings of my Firefly headsculpts, but otherwise most of my work is done for Sideshow.
Thanks for asking!

why pay you to do a body when you could be doing another head ...sideshow knows where its at. awesome work Trev!

Haha! I think that's precisely how they feel. I tend to be SLOW with full figures. We only do about 3 full statues a year because of it...but I'm so happy they let me do a couple! disembodied heads are fun, though!
Glad you like Willow! Thanks!

man your full body sculpts rock no doubt! bodies are relatively easy, until one packs in every detail conceivable and then puts details on top of that.
thanks for the reply solo!

This was sculpted in TMS wax, which is sold by Ralph Cordero. I have a link in one of my journal entries to his email if you want to order some.

Hi Trev' I've never used wax before, but have often been tempted to try. Would TMS be suitable for a first try? and what does tms stand for? I would appreciate anything you can tell me about the differences in working wax opposed to polymer clay and yes please to the link to your supplier. Many thanks Lionel.
