Description Another reveal from Toyfair. The most dedicated cosplayer of all time, Roy Burns! This is from "Friday the 13th Part V" when Jason Voorhees wasn't Jason at all! Just Roy Burns avenging his poor son's death. Part V doesn't get much love, but it is by no means the worst of the series, in my opinion. Dudley from "Diff'rent Strokes" is in it, for crying out loud!

Here's a look at the final figure from NECA: news.toyark.com/wp-content/upl…

This is the wax original, sculpted in two-up size. The final toy will be 7" scale.

Its hard to be the worst movie in the friday the 13th series The way you did the mouth is so great and subtle again. It would still be a good sculpture if it was closed but it being slightly open really adds to the expression. Imma take notes!
One day you will get to sculpt Jason in space! Haha

Hahah! No kidding. I have a few that I really don't like.....Jason Goes to Hell, or the reboot they did a few years back that was filmed so dark and chaotic I don't think I saw most of what happeend. Slasher horror movies get judged on a different scale to most movies, though. Haha!
Oh yeah, thanks! the slightly open mouth with clenched teeth seemed to make him look a bit crazed with revenge. There are only a couple of shots in the movie where you see him as a paramedic in the beginning, so I went off of that. Pretty fun, different headsculpt project....that Jason cowl....haha....How did this guy make that?! I guess he sculpts and molds masks in his garage.

Haha, sssshh don't ask too many questions, im sure he got his costume from the same store where Jason keeps buying his hockey masks that have slightly different markings each time. The true original Jason will always be a lady in a blue sweater anyway

I don't think i saw the reboot, there's just way too many of those movies by now! And as a texas chainsaw massacre fan im used to grief with sequels haha.

Haha! Yeah, horror is always a mixed bag. It took me a long time to come around to enjoying many of them. My older brothers were really into that stuff when I was a kid, so that's how I'm familiar with it all, but it's only recent years that I started enjoying Horror beyond John Carpenter movies.

Mrs. Voorhees is the only true Jason. Kill her mommy! Killer her!

I like how you get the texture in the skin. Thats something I always struggled with- 'just enough', or 'too much' and then it ends up looking cartoonish.

Oh yeah, skin texture is tricky. With toys/collectibles, I always try to figure out what's going to work best depending on how it's going to be produced....Toys are the best, actually, because they typically cast them in skin-tone plastic which makes the texture look great. But that same texture technique looks like Muppet skin if it's painted. I try to just individually put in pores on anything that's going to be fully painted. It looks more subtle in the end, even though it doesn't look especially great on the final wax sculpt.

Kind of like tinted, silicone, fx-prosthetics, or wax models. totally. its like human skin.

Yes! It really does improve the look of a toy, too. I never really strive for "realism", but it is fun to see a little toy with some attention to those details.

Ya, true... Just as long as it doesn't suddenly turn its head and start smiling at you.

Dun-du-DUUUUUUUH!!!! I have so many little eyes looking at me all day long, if I start hallucinating them all coming to life....I'll know to turn myself in. It's over....The toys broke me. I think this is the reality of Gepetto, actually. Terribly sad story.
