Yup :] I have one question though, how long does it take to be able to use corel painter well??

Hi, I do not use many features in corel painter. I simply have a selection of my favourite brushes, colour pallette and i'm set. I'm sure there are many who use painter to the fullest and use its features in depth. Coming from a traditional painting background I simply use it as a digital paintbox. Learning to draw and paint is the key regardless of any medium you use. There are no magic buttons

I see thank you I will try it, but one more question (blushes) would the art look better using a tablet? because I have one but I sometimes don't use it, should I. I'm good with it, its just my time depends on it?

That is personal preference see what feels more comfortable to you.I prefer to use a pen and tablet.

Your pictures are so beautiful and soft! What (program?) do you use?

Thankyou.
All my work starts on paper, I scan the image then I paint many layers in painter using a wacom tablet.
I then use photoshop for its advanced layers and ease of editing in the final stages of a piece.

Ooooh... Aaaahh... So many steps Thank you so much though! One more question (if it's okay ). Is Corel Painter (which I assume you meant by painter) really so different from Photoshop?

Oh yes, painter is hugely different from photoshop. Painter has many natural media brushes, which I only use a few from its vast selection But they work beautifully. The one other thing I love about painting in corels painter rather than photoshop is its responce to my movements, ie painter will keep up with my brush strokes

Ah yes.. Lag is the work of pure evil... When you paint one colour over another, does it "mix" it differently? (Please, forgive my curiosity )

Yes, thats another great feature of painter, colours will mix together while you paint, making blending not only possible but an essential part of painting, just like real painting
