yeap... Mercury is the ruling planet of Virgo, and is the end of summer, Fall on Zodiac (and in the mediterranean and eguatorial cultures where zodiac was created) begins on the Autumnal equinox, September 21-22, and it belongs to Libra.

Noup... the planet is not about the element, Mercury is the planet and earth is the element.

The zodiac is arranged in descendign order, Leo and Cancer are the sun and the moon, the next planet is mercury who falls over Gemini and Virgo, Venus falls over Taurus and Libra, Mars over Aries and Scorpio..etc. It has to be appreciated as a ring...o so the astrologist says.

Then why is Mercury assigned to water in mythology and games. Plus in Sailor Moon? Sailor Moon was influenced by the mythology. And I am working on a traditional media of Virgo but as two people, male and female version, summer on top, autumn below.

really I don't ever pay too much attention on Sailor Moon, maybe on our days we related water to mercury because the chemical element, but boy! did you ever investigate about the zodiac?

It is not my wish to make Virgo a earthy and summer sign just because I want it, it is what the astrologist says since ancient times (and they still do) The most that I have to offer is to explain my work based on a tradition, I don't make the rules, I take what I found in astrological sources.

For example if we are strict, results that the stars move from ancient times to nowadays, and so the zodiac did, and the people who are born in september are not anymore virgos. ask separately an astrologist and an astronomist about and you'll see.

Concepts change from one time to another, for example on ancient times green was water and not earth on maps because blue was for the air, or the case of the sun as ruling planet of Leo, the sun is not even a planet, or the moon, that in an ancient times was the second more big planet, but it is not a planet, is a satellite and is not the second big, it appears that because is closer.

I really suggest to take your questions to an expert about zodiac, just as I do to make my take on the symbols of it, It will be helpful

They all are males because I choose...hehehehe, this project is an exercise, I love the art nouveau and one of the main characteristics is the use of feminine forms and themes so I take the challenge to change it and do all of them boys, and was started on a period of my life with so many work about girls at my regular work ( a fashion clothing sales book) so I take it as a detox too.
