That's adorable, coloring aside! :3 Only Rocky would cover himself with his own canopy while working with his friends' 'chutes!
Just one question--how's he propping up Skye and Zuma's 'chutes like that?

Thank you, Rcoky likes that feeling!
Oh I have no idea XD, I just miss their dome form, so I draw it like that. Maybe you can say Skye and Zuma lands behind him at the same time.

Of course; he picked out the fabric for these 'chutes himself. Why wouldn't he want to wrap himself in it? :3 It's his silk--in more ways than one, lol.
Cute interpretation; means he's helping Marshall out in the middle of all this, huh? I can get behind that, if only for that smirk on Rocky's face and the embarrassed dalmatian he's sure to reveal. (I see your point all the same, it's hard to convey what's actually going on here. It's very open to interpretation!)

Yeah, he feels proud of it! These fabrics are softy and eco-friendly, best material for his teammates' canopies. :3
Indeed! His smirk just like saying: "don't worry, pal. I saves you!" something like that. After helping Marshall, he still need to help Skye and Zuma next.

Heh. I think it's pretty telling that, out of the original seven 'chutes we made for these pups, only Rocky and Rubble don't really have uses for them aside from skydiving. Chase can parachute in with his spy gear, Marshall's a smokejumper, Skye's a pilot and might need hers for a quick escape, and Zuma's trained for water landings so that he can go for solo water rescues. Admittedly Everest doesn't really need her 'chute either but hey, she loves it so much that I bet she wouldn't mind a promotion to back-up skydiver in case the weather keeps Skye from flying crucial deliveries to areas that might need it. (Oh, and by the way, I'm surprised I never noticed this until now, but Everest's badge is actually a bright blue, not green like what we have on her 'chute. She's got more in common with Aleu than we thought--and to think we designed her snowflake 'chute with blue in mind!)
True! :3 I don't think Skye'll need help but Zuma and the others might!

I remember we talked about him parachuting in to help out a construction crew, but thinking about it, it seems more like something he'd do on a whim if he was already in the air than something he'd be expected to do as part of his job. Though, in all honesty, he at least has that going for him; Rocky's got no real use for it outside of skydiving whatsoever, though I doubt he's got a problem with that.
Looked it up when you mentioned it. Turns out it's been blue since the beginning. vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/pa… This was from her third appearance--still bright blue even all the way back then. I'm wondering if we just mistook that blue for light green when we designed her 'chute.

Hehe, I think I understand now, he is the sheer parachutist more than others. That also means maybe he collects many of different design of parachutes. Just like the Apollo parachute. If Rocky had enough time, he will make some special to him.
Ha of course, they just need to worry how to get out, not need to worry what the color inside the badge x3.

Wouldn't say he's talented though. I figure Rubble loves parachuting, but isn't actually very good at it because he gets so excited about it. He likes pulling the cord and floating down on the breeze, but when it comes to actually controlling the parachute to set up a landing, he's not very observant and doesn't really care where he goes. Which may be why he just has more parachutes than his teammates; for him, parachuting is the best thing ever, and he'd rather have fun with it than, well, train for a rescue jump that'll probably never happen with him. (Compare that with Rocky, who's in the same boat in regards to not needing his parachute for anything, but would probably still skydive for the sake of preparing for emergencies and spreading the word about recycling--that, and it lets him test out any improvements he can think of for the team 'chutes.)
That reminds me--I'm a little surprised you haven't done a Marshall x Everest covered pic, at least not one like this.
'From Everest With Love' seemed like a good set-up for one, but we didn't see the aftermath. Something to think about.

I guess you're right. Not like others, Rubble's parachuting experience just for leisure. He didn't have too much stress on it like others. That makes he feel its so fun every time; Rocky is just like an inventor here. He make his teammates' parachute getting better and better. I guess he make these chutes more cozy and softy with a recycling material. He also make an automatic system to open the chute without pull the cord. Marshall's chute pack is the first one to install it, and it works really well. (the plot that Marshall helps Everest open her parachute in mid air, but Marshall faint later because he is too close to the ground, he just too scary. Thankfully his parachute open automatic later.)
I think 'From Everest With Love' is a enough image to them, lol. I like readers imagine what will happen next, but still, if we wanna do a compared pic to this one, that would be consider.

Looking at it that way, you could say that Rocky's parachute really is just a testbed for future ideas. :3 It's clearly labeled as recyclable, and, y'know, Skye and Zuma's parachutes are brightly colored for a reason--it's so you know where they are when they need to be used, whether Skye has to bail out or Zuma needs to jump into the water. Chase, Marshall and Everest have bright colors on their canopies too, sure, it's really so their teammates know where they are in the sky, if you think about it--even the orange sections on Everest's 'chute stand out against the snow no matter where she ends up. Rocky doesn't really need his parachute for anything on the job, but yet it's still bright and very visible because it's meant to be a prototype for all the others' 'chutes. Heh, kinda clever, huh?
That's true. I mean, all I figure that'd happen would be Everest trying to get Marshall to play with her under the fallen canopy, while he's still trying to process what just happened and wondering how to feel about all this. In my head, it'd kinda look like a less angry version of this:
Just with them being closer together and Marshall just kinda fumbling around in confusion.

Yep, that's a really cool thought :3. Rocky wanna the all Paw Patrol parachutes are brightly colored and fitting their owners' custom colors. The other interesting thing is he designed them in traditional round design instead of modern ram-air...The biggest canopy is more visible than the ram-air, and it also could use for emergency.
You made me wonder of that, too :3c, maybe I will try to draw it. I remember there is a FA user like my SkyexChase (both get covered) pic before, because he said he like how I use the parachute as a way to say "too inkbunny stuff' for FA.

Oh, for sure! :3 I remember we also had them packed in their pup packs, too--that way they don't have to worry so much about losing that functionality in an emergency, though given that this would mean that they have both standard parachute packs for skydiving and pup pack parachutes for jumping on the job, like Marshall does here: www.deviantart.com/trc001/art/… sometimes it'd simply be quicker to strap on the parachute and not the pup pack itself, so maybe they're also trained to adapt to survival situations without a pup pack handy. (It also reminds me of that idea you had with Rocky dropping a kid elephant back down to its family--him jumping out after it to manually pull the elephant'd ripcord after realizing he forgot to arm its automatic deployment system, mainly.)
Heh, I saw that. While I wouldn't mind seeing something like 'SkyexChase', working with the 'Fly Together' concept made me wonder about another means of tackling this. Maybe, as a result of Everest and Marshall accidentally opening their parachutes early at the same time (when Marshall didn't even mean to open that early, no less), they're both unaccounted for after landing, having instead drifted off to land in Adventure Bay itself; there, on one of its busier streets, they fumble around in their fallen canopies in search of one another, going on nothing but the sound of their voices. I dunno, might work as a bonus pic, but perhaps my previous idea--Everest trying to get Marshall to play with her while they're under her parachute--might be better for the couple.

Yeah, I remember we packed these parachutes into their packs because of their different missions. It's more convenient and they can open it anytime if they're in danger, like falling into the hole or the cliff. I don't know Rocky ever consider to add a button on their packs for automatic repack fabrics, just like Oso's situation after his landed.
Ooh that's one! We haven't start discussed with automatic deployment system back that time, but it's an interesting reminder. Now I think this mission gave Rocky inspiration about that. Imagine that: After helping pull a kid elephant's ripcord, Rocky found he didn't have enough time to hit the silk. Although he still open his chute, but it's a little late, that makes he haven't time to decide the direction to land, so he landed into the woods. Get tangled on those tree; Luckily it's just near the plain where elephant family lived. He saw the kid elephant landed into the group of elephant safety and the huge Paw Patrol badge parachute settles down on all of them (I like to think it's might be an interesting perspective from Air Patroller because it just like Paw Patrol badge occupied the plain. ) Rocky smiled and glad the mission is over, but he start to think to invent the automatic deployment system.
Hmm, I see! Your previous idea sounds good to me and I like it, although landed into the street of Adventure Bay is a cool idea :3.

That can work! Sure, I still think they've all got separate parachute packs with copies of their 'chutes in them for recreation and Air Patroller emergency use, but it's fun to think about as a just-in-case thing. That being said--I know the Ultimate Rescue 'chutes on the show came with an auto-repacking feature, but I don't think it'd be necessary for their round 'chutes; hopefully they'd only ever need to use them once a mission, so they're probably detachable from the pup pack rather than instantly repackable. After all, Rocky designed them to be biodegradable; no need to clean up after a mission if they need to be detached for whatever reason, just make a new parachute and pack it into the pup pack.
That's a great idea; works a bit of inspiration into an already-chaotic situation for him. Sounds like he'd have plenty of time to think about it while he waits to get unstuck from his tree, lol. (Just had a thought--maybe you could work the Lion Guard into that ending pic as a bit of an easter egg. Could've been standing by to help when they saw the young elephant's 'chute.)
Heh, true. Everest wanting to play with Marshall under her fallen canopy would probably make for a better standalone pic. Still, maybe those two landing in Adventure Bay could make for a potential bonus pic--even though, admittedly, Marshall accidentally opening his 'chute when Everest does would be a fine visual gag on its own.

Hmm, that makes senses. Although Oso's round parachute also had auto-repacking feature, but I like your idea here. Repacking those stuff is the hard part if they're in danger mission, so let them detaching it quickly is much more important. For example, if Chase landed into a water, he can detaching the harness quickly in case of he got tangled by shroud lines; Ha, I could see Rocky might very busy to produce many of his teammates' chute pack.
It will make the motivation interesting. I remember we said he invents the automatic deployment system for Marshall before, but now I think his idea is more bigger than it. He wants everyone has a safe landing including himself. The kid elephant drop mission is a starting point of this inspiration, and it makes the plot more funnier because Rocky still stuck in the tree here. I hope it has a similar feeling that Archimedes finds buoyancy while he take a bath.
That's a wonderful crossover idea, I accept that for a background easter egg, making our universe more completed :3.
I could see that. I am glad Marshall open his parachute on time with Everest here :3.

Taking that idea a bit too far, I think. As long as the canopy can still be recovered and reused, they can still repack it after post-mission clean-up; reattaching it shouldn't be a big deal. All they'd need to do in your example is just let Chase's parachute sit out to dry overnight and it'd be ready to use again. Now, if the canopy in question were caught in a tree and wasn't retrievable without bringing Marshall's fire engine into the area (not a big deal in Adventure Bay and its immediate surrounding area, it'd just be too much effort to take it to a tropical island, for example, just to retrieve one piece of colorful silk), or otherwise lost, then it'd be okay to let it degrade in the environment--Rocky'd just have to make a replacement 'chute and that'd be it. (Of course, if that parachute came from one of their parachute packs and not a pup pack, then that's a different story--no detachable canopies there, they'd have to get the harness off to leave the canopy anywhere.)
That's a bold analogy to make. While I do agree that this could be the moment where Rocky starts thinking about it, I feel like he'd start thinking of it for Marshall first; after all, this might have been an extreme case for Rocky, but knowing Marshall, he probably wouldn't know what to do if he found himself in this situation, plus he still kinda freaks out when he's being made to parachute without warning. Once Marshall is saved by the automatic deployment system's prototype after he saves Everest, by the time he finds out what actually happened, the dalmatian asks Rocky an 'armor-piercing question', so to speak, along the lines of 'well, why am I the only one when that might have saved Everest on its own?' and that indirectly inspires him to add it to everyone else's parachutes, just in case--though deploying their universal Paw Patrol badge reserve 'chute instead, because Marshall might just faint in freefall again and he needs the confidence boost his fire badge'll give him.
Yep; was thinking about our old idea with Kion and Kiara parachuting into Adventure Bay when this came into my head. Of course, they wouldn't see Rocky stuck in his tree, but then that's a good thing for him--means he can slip out of the Pride Lands when his teammates come to rescue him and let his elephant friend take all the credit for making that jump. (Heck, maybe with that old idea, it can just be cub Simba and Nala. Timon and Pumbaa sure didn't like the idea of either of those popping up in their little jungle paradise, why not have the pups be cautious about them as well?)
Ha, only 'cause he didn't mean to. He should be lucky Everest decided to sacrifice falling free with her teammates just to try and encourage him to hit the silk, otherwise he'd be up there all alone, with no one to talk to until he lands. At the very least, they'll have all of Adventure Bay spread out below them and a colorful display of silk to watch as it floats down to the Lookout--and each other, of course. (Thought: I dunno if this would necessarily fit with the purposes of the training exercise this pic depicts, but maybe Everest could have her snowflake badge parachute here? Sure, it wouldn't be as immediately recognizable in an emergency as her usual 'chute, but given the idea of Marshall accidentally hitting the silk when she does, it might be cute to see his fire badge share a patch of sky with one that represents ice.)
