That is utterly charming. I would that all furniture looked something like this! And even better, was built to last.

DragonPawner5 In reply to Transportphotos [2013-07-16 00:27:05 +0000 UTC]

Don't be sorry, because you'd have to be insane to part with that desk. I was just asking out of sheer curiosity. I don't think I could have bared the guilt of having to part a man from that desk.

DragonPawner5 In reply to DragonPawner5 [2013-07-16 23:22:34 +0000 UTC]

I can't for two reasons. 1. I have no tools, supplies or the means to get them. 2. I have no place to put the desk. But I would if I could!

You could make one yourself.Β  This desk is the third wood project I ever did.

Amazing! It looks so much like some of my Zenith radios from the 30's. I have never figured out just how they did the color and texture of the wood like that.

Thanks. Different woods and shades of stain give you the contrast.

Not to step on the makers toes.. but I read how much people loved this desk and he was not interested in making another... Well making Art Deco furniture is what I do.. take a look at my work and if you really want this or something like this built I can do it. I can even make an arrangement with the maker. [link]

I don't just post my pricelist... but when I am contacted I send a link to it... Tom.. I did send you a private message. If you did not get it, go to my site and email me from there to request my pricelist... THANKS Joel

WOW . Your stuff is great. I might be interested in some of it. My desk here has some fit and finish issues but your stuff is spot on. What could someone expect to pay for a dresser or a similar item?

Hi there stunning desk. i was wondering if you would be making another black and white one and could ship to uk - i absolutely love it. many thanks

Transportphotos In reply to zumbabella [2012-04-16 02:58:50 +0000 UTC]

Black and white? I'm not sure I understand, sorry. As far as making another desk I'm not sure. I never thought about it. I am a welder/ metal fabricator as a trade. Woodwork is a hobby. I'm usually pretty busy. I had to figure out how to make the desk myself and I suppose I could give you a few tips if you wanted to try. The fun part is creating something out of your imagination. Something no one else has.

Demon971 [2012-01-31 01:59:49 +0000 UTC]

Beautiful desk. The emblematic designs on it remind me of the ones seen around the Sierra Madre in Fallout: New Vegas expansion Dead Money.

One of the reason I love the Fallout universe so much is because it takes art deco into a tangible retro-futuristic context.
