Not bad, though I feel Thundercracker's personification is off. He was supposed to have willingly joined the Decepticons due to the propaganda/ideology that Megatron espoused and then became disillusioned as the war progressed and the Decepticons became worse than the Autobot's repressive regime ever was.
Also, I dislike the art style, though that is just personal preference. Nice last panel though. Goodbye Starscream, you won't be missed!

Overall, I like the art. It has a cool feel to it.
I like the story the most, though. Getting into the heads of two of the seekers all in one page. Good job! c:

your artwork sort of reminds me of the railway series books.

Screamers smile in the second panel is kinda creepy looking. But all in all a very interesting comic to read.

I did not like the artwork in this piece either. I couldn't even tell what was going on in the last few panels... what was Starscream doing, tearing into a purple pillow? Also, the angular stylization of the art doesn't lend itself to the Transformers.
Nevertheless, the story in itself is not bad, and the writer captures Starscream's voice pretty decently. I appreciate the reference to his previous attempts at a career in science. So many people seem to forget about that/

I am having slight difficulty understanding, is it Starscream lamenting on his desire for power, and wanting to be great, and the last panel showing his death in the 80's movie?

I had a strong reaction to this art, and it took me a long time to decide whether it was a reaction of like or hate. There are a lot of aspects to it that I normally would dislike... and frankly still do. But somehow, the whole thing works for me. Yes, it's awkward and somewhat juvenile. But so is Starscream. And that last panel sold me. Still "unprofessional." But cool all the same. Sorry for a rather harsh comment, but I hope honesty is helpful to you. Bottom line: I faved it.

Harsh? I think my own thoughts about this is way harsher. I allways appriciate when people say what they really think. Couldn't agree more on the "unprofessional" part. I'm quite new to transformers and it was the first time in years I drew a one-page comic. But I learned a lot from it.

Due to a combination of three flaws (two objective and one subjective) I just could NOT get into this piece: The panel arrangement is awkward and makes me sort of want to read it top to bottom by columns instead of moving from left to right while going down, the speach bubbles, especially visible in the second panel, try to hold more dialogue than the artist made room for and thus end up getting crammed into awkward arrangements where the natural top to bottom progression is interrupted and, lastly, the oddly feminine and skinny quality to the artwork. I can`t believe that these characters can actually transform and, likewise, can`t see them as men unless I take a step to them being effeminate or metro. I thoroughly understand that a lot of people don`t find gender has a place within giant robots, but we have it firmly established that Starscream and Thundercracker are men and are also boxy in the legs and such. This art style actually goes against the character designs, not in the way style adapts a design but in a way that makes it hard for me to believe they are even the characters they say they are.
Also, no idea why i wrote such a LONG comment today...

Hey, thanks a lot for mentioning the panel arrangement! Looking back at it now, I think I see what you mean ... I didn't even think about it when I drew it (and usually never do when I draw comics). So thanks. I will definitly keep that in mind in the future.
And yes ... the speach bubbles. I pretty much just want to forget about them. Not used to cram so much dialouge into just one page.
I really appriciated this long constructive comment. Thanks a lot.

From all I have EVER learned from reading comics, reading books about comics and talking to published professional artists, panel arrangement is incredibly important, with many artists often doing multiple thumbnails of each page before selecting which one to do up in final form.

Yes, I'm fully aware of that, and I usually do it too. I suppose I'll just have to train my eyes too see which one is the better arrangement.

Well, generally the best arrangement is the one that "pulls" your eyes along the intended path of reading.

This really moves me. I like how this really makes you see the motivation behind Starscream wanting to be so big. He was tired of just observing great things in a lab and wanted to experience great things in life and make an impact through them.

A cool comic about Starscream's past life.
Starscream probably wanted to be the top scientist before the civil war but he failed to reach his goal and being extremely upset and anomic about it. Thus he seeked authority to fulfil his desire of distinction.

its different, not everything has to be manga. it has the mood of a sin city or the earlier tmnt comic. i like the conflicting ideas the last panel with the empty black space very nice!

SOrry, but I agree. The art is lacking. The story is great, but it's dumbed down by the awkward panel arrangement and the badly drawn characters. While not everything needs to look manga, it doesn't mean it needs to look like its coming from a the local garbage truck either. Now I'm not saying the art is total crap, it's just not art that shows the transformers in their full glory like it should.

I don't want TF to be manga =S lol..I understand what you saying but I think it could've been pulled off a bit better. The idea of the style of art is great (I like dark/tattered art as well), i just don't think it was executed that well.
Still...not a bad Mosaic..
