It's pretty much known to everyone by now. But Stephen Hillenburg - creator of "SpongeBob SquarePants" - passed away towards the end of last month at the age of 57. So here are SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy and Mr. Krabs all paying their respects to him. But SpongeBob is saddest of all; he lost someone dear to him, so Patrick is consoling his best friend, while Sandy plays a small sad ditty on her guitar, Squirdward salutes with his hat, and Mr. Krabs just looks down. Admittedly, he has nothing to give but his respects; not even all the money in the world would do anything to cheer Krabs up.

Just one thing to note is that I tried my best to make the characters more like how they were in the first 2 seasons, mostly the second one in terms of design (as Sandy has a visible tail here and Patrick has "Z-shaped" eyebrows).

R.I.P. Stephen Hillenburg (1961-2018). You may be gone, but you'll never be forgotten.

UPDATE (12/7/2018): Recolored Squidward's shirt by filling in some orange. However, I'm keeping Squidward grey as it's the closest color I have to his main color on the show. In any case, from here on in, I'll be using the Crayola color "Harvest Gold" - shading it with "Bronze Yellow" - for Squidward's shirt after this.
