Description
This was a conversation that took place a couple of years ago as Luka, Meiko and Hakuu drove off to spend the day in Nagisa City soon after graduating from High School. It was a conversation that would come back to haunt them later on.Luka: Haku, you need to buckle down and start planning for the rest of your life. We're not teenagers anymore you know.
Haku: You always sound like a nanny, Luka. Like chill already; we're only 18. We've got plenty of time to plan things out.
Luka: Life don't work that way Haku; you've got to plan today for what you want tomorrow.
Haku: All I want today is to have some fun and a goddam drink ... Like can you drive any faster Meiko?
Luka: You didn't hear a thing I said did you?
Haku: Nope, quit bugging me already ... (Yawn) Think I'll go back to sleep. Wake me when we get there.
Several minutes later and Haku had indeed fallen asleep.
Meiko: She sleeps like a log ... I'm just curious Luka, what will you do if she does mess up her life?
Luka: Just keep your eyes on the road Meiko. I don't want to die young ...
After a moments of silence, Meiko turns on the car radio and they hear Sheryl Crow's 'All I wanna do':
All I wanna do is have some fun
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
All I wanna do is have some fun
Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard
Luka: That should probably be Haku's anthem ...
Meiko: (looks into the rear view mirror and see's Luka crying quietly, so she decides to say nothing)

Of all the better known Vocaloids, Luka is usually regarded as being more sensible and mature than the others. I'm merely building on this premises with this skit.
Meiko's meme is interesting as it is inconsistent. Different fans seem to see her in a different light. So, shes been portrayed as Haku's drinking partner, Luka's sidekick, Kaito's girlfriend or just someone who bites people when she's angry. (And there are other variations as well). Also, if you look at all the models of Meiko available, she has by far gotten the greatest number of variations. Seems like no one really knows what to make of her; neither Crypton nor her fans, still she'll be around for a long time as she is very popular.

One of the "fun" aspects of MMD as a hobby, is to see what others are doing with it.
So, even though I have very few people on my watchlist, I still spend a lot of time seeing what other people are doing here with MMD on DA and YouTube. Doing so has given me a lot of insights, and the memes are just some of the concepts I've picked up.
