Lucille's mother died before she could remember her. Her father was always too busy working to pay too much attention to her, despite the fact that he really did love his daughter. So, she started looking for love in random men. That is, until she fell in love with Philippe, the earnest little house servant.

Philippe started out as an orphan on the streets. For him, it was either the workhouses or the brothel. So, he chose the brothel. At first, he just cleaned things, like floors, sheets, ect. But then, he was coerced into being a prostitute until about 13-14, when he was rescued by Hershel to work as a servant boy. To repay his kind master, Philippe had a small affair with Hershel before growing up and finding his heart with Miss Lucille.
