Given that it devours magic energy to increase size, wouldn't this mean Magimungus eat other Magimungus, and wouldn't that mean there is only one giant Magimungus with the assumption that it can locate and swallow the weaker Magimungus? And with that in mind, wouldn't the only source of magic in the world (or the world it lives in) be that giant Magimungus then?

Magimungus would each other. However they usually feed on other magic sources. They are solitary and they usually live far enough away from enough from each other that they don't encounter each other. Even when they do encounter each other, smaller Magimungus are able to cloak themselves from bigger Magimungus. Also, most Magimungus are about the same size, since for the most part, they all have equal access to magic. In addition, smaller magimungus grow faster than bigger ones, meaning that even if one Magimungus outgrew the others, after a while the others would catch up.
Finally, in the world Magimungus lives in, magic is common enough, and renewed often enough, that it usually can't be depleted. Even if one Magimungus was able to get big enough and live long enough to eat every source of magic in the world, all the magic would be returned to the rest of the world when the Magimungus eventually died. Also, Magimungus return a little bit of magic to the rest of the world every time it uses magic, like when it is flying.
Interestingly, if you think about our world, it's possible that all the smaller Magimungus have been eaten in our world and that our night sky is really just one big Magimungus. Especially since there isn't much other magical sources in our world.
Great question by the way

I'm confused by the decision as well. I heard that it was done to give dragons more weakness since they were seen as over powered.
I remember hearing about a story where a fairy kidnapped a dragon, but aside from that I don't really understand the weakness. It might make sense once we learn more about the fairy type.

Since this one is feeds on magic, it could technically use magic to make itself light. (I'm still waiting for Onix's excuse though)

That's right, you are what you eat after all.
I'm glad you like it.

That's right. Pokemon can have some pretty strange diets (dreams, emotions, etc)

DJ: True enough. How do you tell if something is magical?

I don't really know, I guess the closed thing to magic in the Pokemon Universe would be Fairy types.

(How strong are DJ's powers?)
Luckily these are very rare, I'd still be careful though.
