Description
This is a sort of recolor of Ken Sugimori's artwork for the Pokemon Torterra, the final stage of Turtwig, the Grass type starter of Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. I believe this is what Torterra would look like as Captain Falcon from the F-Zero series, or even vice-versa. Animated sprite here: [link]

Now there's a sort of story behind this: A friend of mine recently got a pet turtle, and didn't know what to name it. Another friend of ours jokingly started calling it Captain Falcon.
When I finally restarted Platinum after accidentally erasing my save, I started with Turtwig and named it Cpt.Falcon as a joke. As I've gone through the game I naturally evolved it into a Torterra.

Very recently I've got my hands on the sprite files within the game and have recolored a few for fun. Just to drag the joke out longer, I recolored Torterra's sprite to look like it's cosplaying Captain Falcon, or that Falcon had become a Torterra. I really liked how this turned out so I decided to recolor the Sugimori artwork as well, even adjusting the plate on his head to align it with his eye to make Falcon's 'mask' look better.

I may upload some other recolors I've done and will do in the future if I feel like it, or if I get some sort of demand for more.
