Description This is intended as an entry to the "Best of 2013" contest sponsored by %PremiumMembers , describing what our favorite memory of the past year was. So I disappeared for a bit during the summer... this is just one of the many places where I went. Jerusalem, Israel is probably the only place on Earth where three of the world's most influential religions converge. This particular shot is a perfect example: the Wailing Wall is obviously significant for Jews, the Dome of the Rock significant for Muslims (as it is believed that the prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven from that point), and the Christian quarter of Jerusalem is also visible in the foreground. Doesn't get any more interesting than that.

A very nicve shot! Where did you stand for taking it? I often tried to find a good view, without any success...

In the direction facing away from the Western Wall, there are some stairs leading up to some small restaurants and tourist cafes built on a higher level. If you go up those stairs, go through some kind of bazaar selling falafels, and then go up some more stairs, you should be able to get a view similar to this. I took this picture right outside this one cafe that was pretty high up. Unfortunately I can't remember its name... I'm glad you like the photo though!

Alas, there are so many stairs in the Rova, I cannot figure out exactly what you mean. Is it the one right above the Burnt House?

Hey! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Come to think of it, I do remember my tour guide mentioning something about the Burnt House when we were there, so it may be close to it. I wish I could be more helpful - I tried using the Map View function on Google Maps to try to find the exact location, but unfortunately it was easier said than done.

Thank you for trying. I'll try to look around when I next visit (with a decent camera and enough daylight)...
