Description
This preview that I'm getting is really low res, so now I'm scared-
But anyways, this is something I made for my ceramics class. Just consider it a merge of Momo and an OC that I plan on posting up in the future. Perhaps this is their secret love child or something?
The name is also first name, last name for the top; and last name, first name with the kanji. I did it like that to not confuse my teacher, so I hope ya'll don't mind it.
Here's some info that I had to type up for the hybrid here:
Name Definition: Chinami (智奈美) is a Japanese name meaning “wise beauty”. When not looking at the kanji, the name is also understood to mean “a thousand wisdom; intelligence”, which was originally what I was going for. It was meant to play on the fact that Momo’s name is made up of only numbered kanji. I also chose the surname Hakurei (博麗) because it is an actual(?) Japanese surname that contains the kanji for “grace” (麗).
Personality: Chinami is a very prudent, dedicated student. She is generally level-headed and calm in dangerous situations, but she isn’t above falling into a panic. Her displays of intelligence and quick-thinking have made her a go-to person for help with class assignments and homework. The high standards placed upon Chinami by her parents and classmates has caused her to constantly compare herself to others and doubt her own intelligence and abilities, but she ironically refuses to let anyone else do the same. Despite appearing serious and indifferent, she’s empathetic with others’ feelings, gets flustered when her talents and capabilities are brought up, and is self-conscious about her looks.
Physical Appearance: Chinami is a petite teenage girl with a slender build. She has long, dark brown hair that is normally tied in a high ponytail with a large strand hanging on the right side of her face, as well as narrow, chocolate brown eyes. She wears red glasses, gold earrings and necklace, and a jade bracelet.
Student Uniform: During school hours, Chinami wears the standard female uniform. This consists of a gray blazer with blue-green stripes, a formal white shirt, red tie, blue-green pleated skirt, black knee socks, and brown shoes.
Hero Costume: Chinami’s hero costume consists of a high-collared, sleeveless crimson unitard that unzips in the front when needed. It also has a back window and side openings. She sports matching sneakers, black knee pads and gloves, and three gold utility belts: two around her waist, and a thinner one around the top portion of her chest, below her shoulders, which contain support items such as first aid, painkillers, and high-in-fat snacks. She also has a golden, all digital lexicon on her right wrist that keeps track of everything that Chinami has trained to make.
Goals/Motivations: Chinami plans on becoming a pro hero partially because her parents want her to be. Her family is rather poor, but gets by thanks to her quirk, as she can create basic necessities and save them money. After witnessing her various academic achievements over the years, her parents have increasingly placed pressure on her to become a pro hero so that she can provide them with lots of money. Despite being spiteful about her parents’ reasons for wanting her to become a pro hero and not allowing her to make her own decisions, Chinami understands their economic situation and why they would take any opportunity to get out of it. She has also wanted to be a hero long before the pressure was laid on her. She’s always admired the way heroes risk their lives to help others, and wishes to be as selfless and courageous as them. Of course, her need to be perfect and useful has caused herself to try to reach for the stars, which in some cases has worked out well for her. Chinami is in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, the top hero class at an academy that boasts the best Heroics education in Japan, after all. However, she always feels a need to prove her worth and to live to the expectations of her family and peers.
You also might have noticed that I had lots of inspiration from people's hero costume redesigns for Momo. Tbh, I used a combination of the redesigns because I wasn't sure if drawing Momo's costume would be school appropriate. That, and this costume seems more convenient for her.
I'll be posting the two separate parts later in case they're too low res here, so look out for them!
