An even easier way to tell the difference between a '67 and '68 GM truck is the '67s have no side-marker lights on the front, and the '68s do, as you can see on this truck, there is a hole where the side-marker light used to be...
On the pickups, the '67s sometimes had small back windows, and the '68s had large windows only...

if youre seeing the truck in person...the easiest way to tell 1967-68 from 69 70 and up...well you look at the instrument panel....the headlight switch and the winshield wiper switch is on the same side as each other....on the left. then on the right there is a choke cable switch. from the outside it is usually just the whole front end that changed over the years....but mostly in 1971 chevy went from 6 lug suspension to 5 lug with disc brakes up front....ive spent alot of years rebuilding these kinds of trucks
