Description Painting from memory. I realise if you can simplify what u are looking at. With a basic value scale. (Either a five scale range or a ten scale range. ) Alocating a rough range of values to different part of the scene you are looking at. You can roughy capture the illusion of light. But then again. Best situation is just go there and do a plein air painting. Just some exercise I have been trying out to practise even when i don't have any paint or sketchbook with me.

Painting from memory gives way better atmospheres than from model me think. This image is a proof.
