''No one can live without interactions. You may withdraw into the mountains, become a monk, a sannyasi, wander off into the desert by yourself, but you still are related to someone. You cannot escape from that absolute fact. You cannot exist in isolation.'' - Ilya's words were echoing again and again in Rusty's head, chanting and annoying her as seconds were passing by.
- I'm not antisocial - she grunted under her breath as she stood near the park's entrance. - I'm just pro leave me the freak alone.-
As she let out one last exasperated sigh, she lazily passed the gate, keeping her gaze uninterested. In that morning, after she and Ilya had almost got at each other's throats after debating the value of a social life, the red haired chap convinced her to meet him in the park at noon. She had no idea what for, nor she cared too much. She wasn't fond of it, especially when it was crowded. The only thing she wished for in that moment was to leave as quick as possible and spend the rest of the day sleeping or munching on some junk.
When she reached the place she was told to go, Rusty finally looked around properly, studying every face, searching for the ruffled lad. When she met his smug gaze, her blood slowly started to boil in irritation but quickly froze as she noticed he was not alone. An unknown dog with cream like fur was chuckling happily, wagging his tail like a small pup in a butcher's shop. Taken by surprise, she tried to turn around and flee, her attempt getting blown away as Ilya called her over.
- Ay Tya! I believe it's this way you wanted to go..-
Rusty slowly turned around, facing an innocent looking Ilya. Oh how much she wanted to rip off that annoying smile of his. Seeing that she had no way to escape, she approached the two dogs with a subtle shyness.
- Sup?-
- Nothing much, y'know, we were just waiting for you- the brown male answered with a chuckle, making Rusty squint her eyes in response. -The handsome boy over there is my best friend, Clement. He would love to befriend sociable butterflies, such as yourself.-
The ashy female gritted her teeth and cautiously looked over to her other companion.
- Rusty.- she said drily, blood flowing in her cheeks. -Pleased to meet you.-
Clement blinked happily and smiled one of the brightest smile she has ever seen.
- Nice scarf you got there. -
Taken by surprise once again, Rusty blinked a few times and turned to leave in the opposite direction.
- Err, yeah, I know.. Umm, are you guys going to sit there all day or what?-
