I like it there. It's deff. not for everyone. It's hard to keep up if you're not a very fast walker. Very crowded. There is a feeling of a ton going on all at once but it'd not like it's deafening from that.

Sounds like Japan... (hasn't been there either..)

The thing is that in SF, it's pretty much like what you said, only in alleys and non-main streets, it smells bad and there are lots of homeless and wierd people...

Which is why i don't live there...

But NY seems... so.. modern, ya know?

Heh, i was watching "Loose Change 2" in AP Bio for the past few days...

NY has a major homeless problem too as far as I know. There's quite a few dark and broken down areas to the city but there's just as much that's lovely and modern to it. It all really depends where you look. One of the streets that go through Times Square looks terribly beat up and has like, the potholes from hell on it not even 50 feet out of Times Square.

Me too. It struck me as so odd to see this road that has all these bad potholes so close to a flashy part of the city.

Regardless, it's a great place to visit.

Fast paced is right. That guy was a really aggressive driver. Jerking around a bit jut to change lanes. The wrist strap is the greatest invention ever in photography. Well....maybe second to the neck strap but my camera is not made to fit one of those.

Maybe it's because I live only a train ride away but NYC is not quite as spectacular as it's made out to be. It's still a great trip to make. If and when you make your way out to NYC, be careful of all the prices. There are so many rip off artists in there.
