✧ PERSONALITY
Self-described as “socially incompetent” even though he isn’t, Norio is a person who is on face value one of the most bitter people you will ever meet. He’s loud and verbally abusive in order to get his point across and his nasty nature can be seen as insensitive to strangers more often than not. Unfortunately, this sort of cruel personality was actually created from a long history of bad habits via anxiety. Bullying has more or less enforced his instinctive reaction of hurt before you’ve been hurt, so even despite his best intentions he can’t stop his anxiety-driven spiel from happening once he starts engaging with another person.
Beyond the limits of his social skills, though, Norio is generally friendly and warms up to people rather quickly. He’s not an extremely deep or dark person and could probably get along with most people, provided they can get past his rude behavior to see the person underneath. He’s caring towards virtually anyone he meets except for those who defy his personal code- those who blatantly don’t care about the feelings of those around him he finds to be despicable. In the same vein he has trouble handling people who don’t think for themselves either- for these types he finds himself lecturing those kind of people more often than not.
His patience and temper are as short as they’ve come, neither of which help reel in his brasher side. It’s due to these though that he’s a fairly easy person to read and in the right company he can be completely open to expressing his feelings and opinions on just about anything.

✦ BIOGRAPHY
The first time Norio can recall the feeling of being socially outcasted was in elementary school, shortly after earning his first mean nickname of “Batsumi” by a couple of his other classmates. While Norio wasn’t always an abrasive person, he absolutely never was someone that could be described as especially smart. He was small and easy to pick upon by other kids, coupled with the fact he’s a generally shy person made him a prime target to push around. While it certainly wasn’t fun for him to be chased around by his peers (with their arms crossed in front of their chests) he never did anything to fight back- until the day he lashed out and wounded up pushing a bully down a fairly steep hill.
His classmates didn’t look at him the same after that, but they left him alone. Guilt ridden and ashamed Norio pulled away from his classmates entirely and since then has evolved into the sharp tongued individual you see now. As he was a single child there was no one else in his age group for him to connect with, nor could he find much to speak about with his incredibly soft-willed parents, so it was extremely easy for him to fall into habitually being cruel to others. His outlook changed a bit in middle school when he realized that he hated not being able to connect with other people. It was only then did he realize that his loner attitude stemmed entirely from his own immaturity.
Regrettably he had formed a complex around his own behavior due to his own hyper awareness of his own bad attitude. His mouth more often runs without limits as soon as he’s directly conversing with another person, defaulting to insults more often than not. It’s a form of anxiety that he struggled with through the entirety of both middle and high school, and although he can still form friendships he’s desperate to be rid of his strife once and for all. After being a Seiyo student for going on his third year, he’s tired of not being able to express himself in the ‘natural’ way he has built up inside his head. He wouldn’t let his last year of his high school life be spent within his own mental cage- and thus his first egg was born.

Recent developments ended up in the loss of his original dream, as he no longer felt he needed to rely on the will of the majority to guide his actions. A key set of close friends allowed Norio to think inwardly about what his dream really meant, and this period of self reflection grew only longer with social outcasting after breaking Miuna's egg, Lapis. Eventually he found the will to create a new dream for himself- born from the resolve that he was going to live purely for the things in the world that stirs his heart, and that he would break free from the society that held him back.

His new egg was waiting for him the next morning.

- Doesn’t carry a glasses case with him so his glasses are near constantly filthy, usually tries to scrub them down with water when he goes to the bathroom though.
- Prone to calling friends “Idiots” out of another bad habit. He’s pretty ashamed about this because calling people names is mean. Boo hoo.
