Description A pretty quik painting, no full of detail. It represents a great white shark, the heaviest (not the longest) predatory shark in the world. An endangered beauty.

Hope you like it.

Isn't the Greenland Shark heavier?

As far as I know, S. microcephallus is reported to be much lighter than Whites. I couldn't find any references of sharks weighting more than 1.500 Kg. Although there are a good number of reports of shark around 7 m. and this is VERY BIG.

The maximum size of GWS seems to be around 2000kg (there are multiple records even within this decade)

A comment on this. While i'm doing my super poster "Mediterranean sharks" I have not did C. carcharias yet so I decided to include this illustration in the gallery but it won't be the one whic is going to appear in the poster. This was a sketchy paint and is very annatomically incorrect...

Yes, they need! Here, in the Mediterranean, they are very endangered and over fishered.

De todos modos un tiburΓ³n no es una criatura llena de pequeΓ±os detalles, parte de su gran atractivo es esa atractiva austeridad corporal. ΒΏCΓ³mo le has dado color?
