Yeah.. lot of 'hate' for the landing gear for being insufficiently canonical... my next version will have visible anti-grav generators... (that oddly look a lot like the wheels) deployed above the landing struts.

Hey do you own thing. Those wheels are wild fun. They make the Type-S something like a cool monster truck transformer.

Well its 'inspired' by Traveller's designs, but in detail its my own work...and exists as a 3d print as well as art. I thought the wheels were a fun idea.... more Jerry Anderson than monster truck though.

I must protest good sir! Traveller is still being published by Mongoose Publishing. For that matter they are producing the 2nd edition of the game so it's been a reasonably successful line. I have the 1st Edition of Mongoose Traveller myself and I do like it. The work itself is pretty good and looks like a painting which is not something you see related to Traveller.

Thank you for your concern. The art is with Mongoose's representative, with an offer to them to use it free of charge in their upcoming products...specifically The 'Great Rift' sourcebook (which has just ticked its £10,000 kickstarter box).
The art is done digitally first in autocad to develop the model, then photoshoped with added elements from mandelbulb ..the results are then printed onto vanvas and then overpainted in acrylic impasto-gloss.

That's cool. I heard about the rift book through a Traveller google+ group. It would be neat to see some art in there that I've seen on DA.
