What's the real problem is that I can never finish a piece in more than one sitting. Therefore when I finish an illo, I've overexposed myself to that piece for too long, in turn not seeing the flaws sometimes. Guess I'll never learn... or will I?

Yea the varied color lines is def a technique I've wanted to use, but I haven't quite figured out how really. I was afraid of using the darker shade cuz it seemed too easy of a solution, but now that I think about it more, it makes perfect sense to do so. And I didn't even THINK about fading out the leg and cloak to get the "atmo-persp" effect. These are great suggestions, Jen. Your input means a lot to me so thank you! =oD

Slick work, T. I think this looks fine as is, but if you really want to go for a more painterly style, like you've said, start going in and blocking out forms before thinking about colours and such. Don't be afraid to start off ridiculously messy with it, either, and then go in with smaller brushes and refine it.

been reading the latest chapters. i wanna see the cloud team kick ass. plus they are funny. sasuke isn't my fav but i do want to see him and naruto fight full power now. gonna have to be sick.

WHAT? we will battle now. frankly there stupidity is a change from what i've been seeing lately in the new arcs. it's like all the comical relief has left the building. Naruto is no longer funny and rude. but then again, i think that's one thing that annoyed people about his character. so it's no surprise people will find the new characters annoying. but yeah. i never liked that all the characters were so puny. no tones. no pecks at all. idk when those two fight, it better be animated right. i still watch the anime, but only because i am hoping to see the quality come back. actually the last episode got the good animation team going on it. the anime lost so many fans after the filler wars.

Oh man, fillers aggravate me to no end. I have ZERO tolerance for that stuff. Not only are they a waste of time, they decimate the integrity of the creation. I agree with you about seeing the well-animated ones though, but the ratio of shit-animated episodes to well-animated ones keeps me from watching it. One series I can think of that has a better ratio is Soul Eater. Solid animation right there. Have there been any quality animated episodes since Team 7 vs Hidan & Kakuzu?

yeah. Naruto is messing up. the last ep is picking up on where i used to be. but since the team 7 vs Hidan and K, they had a lame filler. i think they are trying to do filler between every story arc so the annie won't catch up with the manga. so the last arc was filler and they are just NOW getting back into the story. at the moment Orochi is sexing sasuke up for his body. the animation is clean and fresh looking but they haven't used the same animation team they used with the team 7 vs H&K fight. me hopes they do well since sasukes team hawk is gonna make the show in a couple eps. we'll see
