The little guy touches my heart. Squirrels take me home: I used to live i Washington, where it snows in the winter, and now I'm here in Texas, where you're lucky if snow falls. The picture is wonderful: I like how it takes care of business so casually. The majority of rest of the world is probably like "Oh for Cosmos' sake: now I gotta go out there and shouvel my troubles away. I'm gonna be late for work!". The colors contrast beautifully against the snow, which makes it really easy to see the squirrel. If you know, what species is it?

Thanks! This is indeed a great shot thanks to the symmetry, eating action, and snow.
All the squirrels in Helsinki (my city) are Eurasian red squirrels. Some winters we get a few weeks of little bit of snow, and some winters 2-3 months of one foot deep snow.
