Description Red-Eye is a wise and fierce Euchambersia and is the alpha male of the Therocephalian pack. He lived in what is now South Africa during the late Permian Period. His most fatal weapon is his venomous bite, which is capable of taking down a Dicynodont.

Has science confirmed the venom?

Love these synapsid drawings! They have so much character!

Thanks very much.

By the way, it could be due to the large Maxillary glands and fozza. But it also said on Walking with Monsters that Therocephalians are venomous. Which is why I typed it in. So far, it's debatable.

Last time I checked the science was shaky, but it seems further research has found the venom to be the most likely hypothesis. That's pretty awesome.

Ah, I see.

It it was also discovered that the flying dinosaur, Sinornithosaurus, may have also possess a venom gland because of its backward curving snake-like teeth.

That's pretty cool, though it seems the argument for that is still ongoing. The proof is grooved teeth, a feature which is found in venomous and non-venomous animals alike.
