Why I chose her? Good question.
I never thought of her as an icon for me. But after I saw this challenge I started to think (for the first time) what a big influence her music is for my art.
I have made paintings based on her songs (used them as inspiration), I listen to her songs while I paint/draw and use her lyrics to name my paintings...and I even did one portrait of her.
So without her music I wouldn't have created some of my artworks.
I'm mostly inspired by her lyrics that's why I wrote some of her lyrics in the painting.

I noticed that blue and pink are the killer combination. People love it. I see this on other's artworks and the viewers go wild.
It has a "drug" effect on people, I think
If you have a drawing that sucks, use this colors and no one will notice it

It was the first time I actually done the dreamy thing...the right way. The way I wanted it.
I always end up with too opaque looking paintings. I want to make them translucent and "light" looking, but end up with an "oil painting"
Otherwise I like the way I do my paintings, but I'm angry when I want this dreamy effect and it just doesn't want to happen

She looks beautiful! I know it's supposed to be Lana del Rey, but she also makes me think of Ellie Goulding too! Maybe they got the same mouth. haha
