This is cool. Once again, you show you have an amazing attention to detail. The skulls are a nice touch, definitely give it that ogre-home feel.

That axe is scary, man. No way would I want to come across that...would run screaming in the other direction.

I've been trying different styles, the cross hatch isn't as acceptable in illustration as it used to be so texture is the way to go forward, I enjoyed doing this one but the original is larger and it hurt my hand to do. Thanks for the nice comment.

It isn't?! O_O Dang. >.< It's just like film photography; getting less and less popular. I guess newer generations are making a mad dash for different styles in every aspect of art. Ooh >.< Hope your hand healed well. You're welcome.

I can't understand why, but check out artists like Martin McKenna, he has got rid of cross hatch and relies on darkness and texture. He's quite big in fantasy art these days. Hand not too bad now. Thanks.
