today, we had the first snow of the year.
me and my partner went to the disused open- face mine in our village to take some photos as ra characters.
my partner is engie, i am snippy.
costume parts for both characters are bought and altered by me.

i live in a rather small village in the south of germany, with a lot of historic half-timbered buildings..there are not many fitting locations for this kind of photoshot there. we were lucky to find this abandoned open-face mine in our village.
the kitty bag is very important for the story of romantically apocalyptic comic. there is a scene where snippy loses his rifle(which is not good if you live in a radioactive wasteland full of mutant monsters) and gets the kitty bag for protection from his crazy captain
though my bag is even flashier than the one in the original story

no, i bought it on ebay. thatΒ΄s the reason why the pattern looks not 100 percent like the original, the original jacket is not available 
i thought about sewing one before, but the fabric snippys jacket is made of is hard to sew, expensive and i was not sure if i could get a good enough result with another fabric, like cotton instead.
i like this jacket though, it is an all terrain, waterproof outdoor jacket and has a lot of pockets

putting thought into how the cosplay could be made, looking for props and material , sewing and assembling it, belongs to the hobby as much as wearing it. for me, it adds to the fun i have with the cos a lot.

the " bunker" was a gravel silo once, normally it would stand upright, but because the place is abandoned, it lies there and rusts.

i thought i had already shown the cancer bag in the forum chat some time ago (though i painted the kitty on it white since then)...
and in the bag is the "property of captein" note and the shopping list XD
yeah the location is very fitting, with all the big and rusty scrap lying around... though it is a bit illegal to go in there.. but no one cares because it has been abandoned for years now.
