Description With the whole Star Wars expanded universe now falling under this new 'Legends' banner, I thought it was only right that I pay tribute to some of the amazing characters that have kept Star Wars alive for me over the past 10-20 years.

While I'm eager to see what comes next for Star Wars, I'll always have a special place for the EU and I hope that writers and fellow artists continue to keep these characters alive

The art style reminds me of the original clone wars cartoon character designs.

Nice work on Thrawn there, likes the facial lines and the flattop.  I too am gonna miss him and plenty of the EU.  At least it's not entirely gone with SWTOR still going on with updates.  Nonetheless, I am eager to read the new Tarkin novel by James Luceno.  His EU works are among my favorites.

Thanks very much dude! Yeah that sounds like it's gonna be a good one, he's a great author! I've read pretty much every novel set after ROTJ so I'm looking forward to delving into some Kotor era stuff next. Speaking of which... If you like this era, my next piece should interest you

Here here, I'm a little miffed to say the least about the EU reboot, but eager to see what's in store (rebels aside) for the SWU in general. Great work, I really hope they don't let this legend die. I for one will continue painting the EU, I hope to see it from others too.

Yeah for me the weird and wonderful world of the EU will always be canon and this new stuff is just somebody else's interpretation, rather than the other way around. So I will definitely carry on showing these characters the love they deserve Still, I guess it gives a whole new generation the chance to experience what we did as kids

An excellent take on the whole thing. I'd say that's turning a negative into a positive. To me the NJO books in particular will always be special, got me through some dark times!

Likewise, I had it all on audiobook too because I loved it that darn much. I can't read when in a moving vehicle, so it was a substitute when traveling. Sadly, most of them are abridged in audio, and they even missed out the entire battle for coruscant?!? How do you miss THAT out?
