A fairly quick pencil sketch done while I was in Japan this spring, with a copy of GanGan on hand for reference. Just look what a pair of sweet little girls they are. (I wonder if Al just walked in--that would explain Mei's expression and pose, anyway....)(Cleaned-up and colored version on the way, one of these days.)

Mei looks so innocent here--strange what a hairstyle can do. I used to forget that awesome fighter or not, she's just (or rather was) a little girl. Then I see her hair down and she just looks younger to me, somehow, LOL. I really love her eyes, just the way you shaded them and the shines on them. Xiao Mei is awesome too, of course. x)
I wonder when this happened..? If Al walked in and Mei has that attitude, I don't think it happened while she was on bedrest at Knox's place... Hmm... Interesting to think about! Anyway, also gotta mention that I love the folds on the blanket!
