Description EDIT: Since this is my most popular stamp/deviation, I've decided to resize it so that its size doesn't misplace other stamps.

EDIT AGAIN: Gah, I'm really beginning to dislike how popular this stupid stamp I made in 5 minutes is getting, while my other artwork isn't even 1/10th as popular. Oh well. Nothing that can be done about it.

Seriously? What's the point? Home is supposed to be a break from school. It's supposed to be YOUR TIME. Apparently, teachers don't want us to have free time. Isn't 7 hours of school enough?!? Why pile another 2-3 on top of that?!? The only teacher I've had that was considerate enough to acknowledge that kids have lives was my 8th grade History teacher. Man, I miss him... D=

I think the main problem is that the US kinda lets everyone graduate with very little effort.

I agree, and it's because they feel bad if they don't let a kid graduate. Then they make all the other kids slow down for the ones who are failing or just don't care :\

If it's 7 hours of school, that means 14 hours of homework!

I sometimes even have 9 hours of school and I always need to travel for 3 hours too, so sometimes I'm gone from 6:30AM to 6:30PM, and cuz I often go to bed early then, I barely get to do any homework at all
I never understood the logic of homework, but my mom says it's cuz "you just have too many things to learn" =3=

Like my literature professor said, "the key to mind control is little sleep and keeping people occupied by doing work."

And I hate when they give homework during breaks and say "now you have more time to study! " ... NO

I can have school days with 9 hours... And with this many lessons, it means a great amount of homework too... I'm quite good at school, so it usually doesn't take very long, but I feel bad for my not-so-quick classmates...

ToastersToastToast In reply to fleetingspirit [2010-12-29 08:33:02 +0000 UTC]

Really? Huh. At my school they just check to make sure you've turned something in. They just don't care if you did it correctly.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fleetingspirit In reply to ToastersToastToast [2010-12-29 08:36:41 +0000 UTC]

Most of my teachers only check it when they feel like it (which is like a couple of times a month).
But somehow, they always manage to check when most people decide not to do it

ToastersToastToast In reply to fleetingspirit [2010-12-29 08:38:43 +0000 UTC]

Well, my teachers always collect it, but I actually wonder if they bother to check it all the time or just when they feel like it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fleetingspirit In reply to ToastersToastToast [2010-12-29 08:46:17 +0000 UTC]

I have one or two teachers that check every single little detail, and I think the rest just checks when they feel like it.
Some of them are procrastinators when it comes to work that have to be marked though

ToastersToastToast In reply to fleetingspirit [2010-12-29 08:47:17 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Usually with big projects, it's at least a month or two before they finally finish grading them.

We outnumber the teachers. Let's see if we can stoke up an anti-homework revolution.
But not now. Right now I have exams to worry about.

Homework seriously takes away my free time, like as in drawing, communicating with friends, etc. T_T

Fortunately though, I'm on my senior year, which means I'll be graduating... which means that I'll never come back to a hellhole of a school!
