I remember watching this on Fox Kids when I was a kid. Along with Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century, Godzilla, The Extreme Ghostbusters. Saturday morning cartoons are awesome!

I was watching both seasons recently. Did it stay true to the original story or was it episodes involving the main cast?

It is really it's own thing...The original comic was an awesome two part spectacle with very little story. A visual feast to be sure... but not much going on otherwise. The stories in the series had to be more character / plot driven in order to support 26 episodes of a 22 minute show. They tried to mine as much reference from the original property as they could, but had to add a lot more to make the show.

So the show had more material than the source. I see. I really liked how it took on different subject matters between man and machine, it was gold for its time.

I always loved the contrast of the clean, cartoony looking exterior and the credibily engineered inside working of the robots in this show.
It's really too bad the animation department wasn't as good as the pre-production department.
Anyway, I wouldn't be the same if you hadn't work on this show. BigGuy and Rusty is a massive influence on who I am today, mostly because of your designs.
I love you Thomas. xD
