And a good thing you did!

I lovee this one! I think mainly because it's a different colour, and I've always enjoyed colours that are warmer like brownand stuff. But another reason is because the droplet has such a lovely reflection! The droplet doesn't really look like one, but also at the same time, it does! This is such a lovely shot, it reminds me of home.

Because I never intended to upload them It was just to test out my idea before taking some shots that I've thought more through, and then SinWin comes along and won't let me not upload them

I honestly think that this is one of the very best macro pictures you have ever taken. It strikes me as a very professional photo, combining the right amount of focused light, balanced and harmonic colours and a very good composition, where the object (the drop) is placed in the right spot. The gentle strokes of the feathers makes this image soft, gentle and a pleasure to the eye.

A real masterpiece!

Oh, thank you I must say, though - after this comment I seriously wonder if I can ever surpass it. Maybe you'll never like my "real" shots as good as these small tests

I doubt that would be the case - you prove all the time that your skills grow, you're surpassing yourself every day, sometimes it's a small step forward, other days it is large. This is one of the huge steps.
