Description An F1 car for a guy I met who loves Ferrari race cars, said if i drew one, he'd buy it from me so I drew this one. Took about 8 or 9 hours to finish. First attempt at an F1 car for me too. Smoke is difficult to draw, but heres my effort towards it.

Titan360 In reply to Tuner666 [2006-10-09 14:19:33 +0000 UTC]

Thanks alot, well I just shaded lightly where the smoke was and used shading stumps and my good 'ol index finger to smooth it out. Thats all I can really explain about it, it was tricky though getting the right tones and such.

Very, very nice. Great job on the values and detail. The smoke turned out great. That's it, you've convinced me to give graphite + cars a try.

Sweet! Did you use a photo? I know how dufficult that can be, I drew a bounch of planes and it's not easy to make it realistic enough, so good job on that!

great job on this one too...but the head seems a little too low?

Titan360 In reply to KeNjIr0 [2006-03-11 02:37:47 +0000 UTC]

mmm nope, measured the pic to be accurate, just the ground level angle i guess.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KeNjIr0 In reply to Titan360 [2006-03-11 02:47:25 +0000 UTC]

ah, your probably right. the angles you draw your carss in are pretty complicated, and to good effect. very admirable. all my drawings are pretty sstraight forward. i rely on shading.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Titan360 In reply to KeNjIr0 [2006-03-11 14:37:02 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, someone usually comments about something, usually the angle of the wheels, but really in almost every picture the front wheels are turned slightly, or alot. I like the unusual angles personally cause not many people draw them, and the challenge is there to get it right.

oh ok.... issit just me or is the most difficult part drawign the initial outline sketch??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Titan360 In reply to superunknown314 [2006-03-06 14:51:37 +0000 UTC]

Well I don't know, I never do an outline sketch. I start at the left hand side and work my way right so when I get to the right hand side, the picture is done. I do all the shading as I go as well. I've had some people tell me that its weird and unusual how I do it... but i've always been that way.

great job love the details, exspecially the smoke or dust! is it creating dust from taking a turn or doing a burn out and creating smoke? cause if it was from turn then idk that would jsut be so much cooler beucase it would be like in motion its cooler to picture that way lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Titan360 In reply to shaunM5-7-87 [2006-03-01 19:21:05 +0000 UTC]

Well its actually after a championship win, when they do a burnout to impress the crowd. I also thought of the drifting motion too after it was done, so whatever way you look at it...
