If this was tan it would be my old '69 beetle... complete with window shades and luggage rack.
Skied in Michigan, backpacked in the Rockies, held all my gear and wife... even with 13 cases of
Coors! I swear I still have an occasional dream about this baby, and the simple life back then.

I'm glad you enjoyed seeing this one. It is amazing how cars are so often connected so closely with some of our fondest memories. We had a much older year model when I was a kid, got it very used and very cheap. I recall riding to school on cold morning in it... had a worthless heater. lol Great fun!
