Uhmmm I usually start with midtones or slightly darker than midtone colors so I can see how the overall colors look~

I was just noticing that there are some really dark colors around the edges but they aren't really lines. It just looks cool..

xD~ ah that's probably because I did a pretty detailed sketch for this so some of the lines were kept in the picture and I emphasized them more :3~

I love the look you gave her. though she doesn't have flowing clothes with intricate design (not that i mind, though i don't swing that way, i'm not blind to a hot bod and i know child beraing hips when i see them)

I love the light fluffiness of her hair, and of the lines in general, which making the work look all the more painting-y, if you know what I mean.
The pose is an interesting one- just slightly different from what one would expect, and that oddness about it brings it a lot of character.
I love her eyes most of all. They're so striking and powerful and intelligent looking. It makes you look twice.

And don't be afraid of them o_< just get a reference picture and work at it - it takes some time, but the more you draw them the faster it gets? I'm still pretty slow though lol...

Haha even if I am pressured I still procrastinate way too much. If I get bored with my 3D homework, I just walk away and spend like 10000 hours drawing. Always hurts me 
And yeah I should have started practicing on hands long long time ago. Back in the 8th grade probably. I could have been so good by now. Eh~ again, procrastination. Like I'm doing now on my speech... uh, due TOMORROW *dies*

Yeah. It's like a curse. And I finished my speech ^^ I didn't draw hands yet cuz I ate Burger King... and I can't do my 3D until I get to my boyfriend's house tonight because he has 3Ds Max... and After Effects *sigh* I'm too poor to even download those programs. My computer doesn't have enough memory.

Love the design and colors, I think her right hand, the shaded part appear a little dirty. Actually, that's both her hands..
I think the tights are a little too bright, with the shades near the frills, it appear slightly metallic. I didn't think that was the intended effect?
