Thank you <3 Considering getting the pieces together to actually construct this as a kit.

This is really awesome also didn't know you also use gimp too. π: 1 β©: 1

Thank you, sister <3
And yeah, used GIMP for about six years now. Trained on Photoshop, but couldn't afford the license when I left school - and now I keep using it out of habit. Wouldn't recommend it over PS, but it's way better than just sufficient.

I think I found gimp back in 2006? My dad introduced it to me, I was using linux for a while then. Great alternative to psd and is a good competitor but yes probably some things that psd has better than gimp.

Clipping masks. GIMP really needs clipping masks.

And something I wasn't aware of until now, vector versus raster. Unless you know something I don't know. I'm novice in that department. I guess gimp does rasters and not vector? I was trying to make the face more of a vector but I guess it doesn't matter since when you zoom out where I am hoping to keep it at it looks fine.

As far as I know, GIMP doesn't have proper vector support. But I'm very likely wrong there since I rarely use the vector tools, and have never tried exporting to any vector-based format.
But aye, GIMP is primarily raster.

Okay what I thought, you would probably know more that I since you probably dabbled in it more often than I.Β

Probably, but I mostly use the same six or sevel tools: Brush, airbrush, smudge, gradient, and the marquee and lasso. And the eyedropper, of course.
Like most editors GIMP has tons of tools, and like with most you usually just use a small set of them depending on what you use it for. Wouldn't be surprised if there are people who've done photo editing with GIMP for years and never touched the brush or marquee.

I've been trying a little bit of everything over the years to switch it up and see what the program has to offer. Though I have my own I use constantly like the brush tool. I've been trading it up for pencil lately though.
I know people that use gimp for photo editing actually so yeah, I'd agree.

Hah. The red and green is outside your comfort zone? You treat them pretty well separately. These artworks shows this:

In any case very well done. ^.^
I was thinking about that, if this would be a photo, the camera how would have been taken this picture. Here i think about the long shutter speed and the Ship's speed.
But the colors is also interesting, i'd be curious about the lens, and camera filter.
There are lot of very beautiful photo from space, i know, just... thinking about, maybe in the future we will really be able to make such recordings. If you already have laser cannon. ^.^

Yeah, a bit of poor choice of words on my part there -.o Just usually don't use them together. I usually stay away from brightly coloured beam weapons as well, but here everything just fit together.

^.^ I didn't want to teasing you, just surprised. (: But yeah, the colors very lively and contrast each other... Nonetheless, complement each other very well.
I don't know why, but i love the green laser... better than red. XDΒ
I think this is a little bit artistic... uhm, i mean surreal.. but not too hard, just a little bit... Rather i would to say, there are similarity.
Hmm. But obviously your style is in it.Β The unique and awesome Tinselfire style. ^.^

Think it may be how green laser - well, other than the Star Wars sort, that is - started getting really fashionable in sci-fi aimed towards children when I was 14-15 years old, so I got the mistaken impression it was outside my age range.

Thank you <3 Had one of the sets this design is based on. Actually still do, although in pieces and in storage at my parents' home.
Maybe it could be a holiday project reassembling it. Part for nostalgia value, but might be fun to have around if the neighbours have the kids over.

Aw... you're making me blush here. Knowing your experience with scoring deep spaceflight at its most perilous, that goes both ways.
Getting curious now.

Why, thank you <3 Drew inspiration for the spacescape from classic Lego space backgrounds, which often featured bright pink nebulae - although in hindsight, not nearly as often as I remember.

Did have one of the inspirations as a child. Got a chance to reassemble it while visiting my parents last weekend.
The classic space designs were pretty neat.
