From the time to the Quadrachion Empire arrived in the Star Wars Galaxy (I don't know what to call it), to the start of the Clone Wars, the Quadrachion Empire had the largest Droid Army ever constructed. Due to the Quadrachion Empire's low population of around 8 billion Quadrachions, they had limited numbers to pull from for their military, and with both the Border Guards First Army) and the Inner Guards (Second Army) needing vasts mount of soldiers to defend the Quadrachion Empire, not to mention the several dozens of Planets and systems located outside the Quadachion Empire that were under their protection, the Empire simply did not have a big enough population. To fix this issue, the Quadrachions built a massive Droid Army that made up around 25% of both the Border Guards and the Inner Guards, a Droid Army so massive that it held the record for the largest Droid Army up until the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) was formed. However, with so many Droids came the need to not only transport them, but to command them as well. Throughout the Quadrachion's history in the Star Wars Galaxy, they've always had Droid Command Ships.
In 31 ABY came the introduction of their latest Battleship, the BlackOwl-Class Battleship , and with it, a perfect frame to build their new Droid Command Ship on. The BlackOwl's ventral and dorsal disks were removed to give way for a massive detachable Core ship, inspired by the one the CIS used on their own Battleships.
The newly named MotherBird-Class Droid Command Ship would enter an enemy's system (with escort of course) where it's core ship would detach and with it's own escort, would go where ever it's arsenal of Droids where needed with the rest of the MotherBird acting as a Mother Ship for the Core ship to return to in order to resupply. By the battle of Starkiller Base and unknown number had been constructed.
