a practice of limited palette: Carmine, Indian yellow, Cyan
for me it is always a little scary to paint the dark color but I pushed myself to do it in this one.
these three colors can make really dark colors, surprisingly.

the location is a wooden house in our local hot spring town.
an old gentelman (who is a wood sculptor) and his wife live there.
he does all kinds of cute animal sculptors and places them in their garden.
he also appears in this drawing I did last year

the little purple-blueish berries on the books is called "ノブドウ" . The English name is Ampelopsis?(not sure)
the hostress of the house gave them to us as a present when we visited their house.

speaking of the stove, as we are using the gas stove during the winter, the air is really dry.
the watercolor seems to dry very quickly, and that makes it a little hard to draw.
