'The ending's trite,
The rhyme's not right'
The critic writes
In half-lit light.

'But it'll do
I'm adding you
If you'll return the favor, too'.

And so the poet
Meekly replies
'Thanks for the add'
And then complies.

The painter paints
And prays for views
More heartwarming
Than old, cheap booze.

And somewhere a kid
(Probably thirteen)
Racks up DD's
For photos obscene.

From out of nowhere
A stalker reviews
And asks if you will watch him too
You visit his page
His deviations are few
But he says he'd like to meet up with you.

And then there's the girl
That uploads 10 times a day
And asks if you loved what she's displayed

But you haven't the time
To read through her rhymes
Or gaze at her sketch
(You need an art rest!)

And I sit there
And wonder why
No one's reviewed-
I think I might cry!

But we all come back
Day after day
We might as well have fun
Because we know Art doesn't pay!
