Description I thought about doing another "comic book" style ink drawing and then changed my mind. The inking stuff is fun, but marker rendering is what I'm most comfortable doing. Anyway, enough of my gas.

Marker rendering with pastel & photoshop effects.
About 2 hrs.

Thank you for stopping by!

Swamp Thing property of DC Comics.

I love how your piece stands out from other Swamp Thing renditions. Others mostly feel rough, while yours looks quite smooth. I also really dig the green aura he's emanating.

Really nice colors! Your art has the look of a good conceptual artist, like you'd do well in film or cartoons.

Thanks for your kind words. I have done some film work. My day job is that of a storyboard artist for the ad industry.

Great SwampThing! He's never gotten the props he deserved as a DC character and he's such a cool looking character.

This is amazing, looks just like one of John Totleben's painted covers during his run with Alan Moore and Steve Bissette.

woah.

wayt to color the background... it has such a strange atmosphere to it. swamps are supposed to be musty and damp, but that red glow gives it such a warm feeling. Um, does that make sense?

I like it. Except for the obvious swamp setting, the use of colour gives me the feeling of the atmosphere. Wicked stuff.

Jeebus, it just seems so unfair that you can do this with markers. Though i'm always impressed. I'm glad you finally joined penciljack. I know people will love you once you get a little more art posted. I like ya, Tim... thats all that matters anyway. Beautiful work as always.

I have one Swamp Thing issue from over 20 years ago I think, given to me by a friend because I liked Pogo, and there was a tribute to Pogo in it which was definitely better tan Pogo

Swampy is kinda cute in a way
