Wow i think i never read something like this of wolvies past on the WW days...
That traditional tech you do to texture is really cool, i'm learning that thru Wrightson's stuff

I completely forgot about Wrightson, he did amazing work on Frankenstein. He was heavily inspired by Franklin Booth, though he used a brush to ink.

If you like Booth you'll love Gustav Dore- he inspired Booth's work.
I use Rapidographs for inking, I don't do a whole lot of digital work, though when I do it's usually just to paste panels together, or resize images.
I'll have to check out more of Wrightson's work, aside from Frankenstein I don't think I've seen much else.

Yeah, thank you again, his work is great too Oo...I'm looking at this kind of art to learn more of texture, i'm trying to give a more realistic look to the environment when doing pages ya know?Like clouds, no one draws clouds the way it should nowadays, they just let the color artist do the job hehe
Hmm thats cool, i heard from Kevin Nowlan that rapidographs ink get a lil messy after some years...That true?Nice, i like seeing peoples work in person, those digital pencillers never got the real thing to show us...It's sad.
Yeah do that, If ye find it to buy get his work on Swamp Thing, i have some issues here, but had to download the rest to check everything out

You should also check out some of Moebius's work. He's had a huge impact on my work since my teens. Though I'm starting to move in other directions, he's still a big influence on me.
I didn't know Nowlan used Rapidographs. he does great inks. Yes, after a few years, but to me that's a good investment. a $30 pen that lasts years, not bad. And you can get a great line every time. Microns work well too, but I go through a pen in about two weeks, that's about when the tip goes round. Although there is no cleaning which is great.
I say try everything, see what works with you. You'll never do something different until you try something different.

I know some of his stuff, but never got myself searching for anything...Will be doing that as youre the second person saying that a me hehe
Nowlan used it in the past, till he realized that the pages get a lil different thru time...Now i don't know what he's using, think he uses microns too or just brushes idk hehe
Yeah i know, in the beginning, i thought that buildings were boring to draw, now i love drawing cityscapes hehe...Thought that traditional painting textures took too much time and were also boring to do, now i find it interesting and if done right on what i aim to do, that is giving the comic book environment a more "3d" look, can really give the "something else" factor (i dont know what you guys, real english spokesman, use to express this feeling) to the art
Thank you for replying again and sorry to flood your page

Thanks. I'm looking forward to seeing it colored. I think it could have worked as black and white though.
