Description My fiance' Tiffany asked me to draw Tinkerbell for her the other day. I kinda think this wasn't what she had in mind!

Piddling around with photoshop.

No references were harmed in the production of this pic. Tinkerbell is copyrighted by Disney.

I am so glad you drew a woman, instead of the prepubescent tink that disney has. lol...plus fan art should be done in your style and I like it Great pose!

LOL my 'all growed up' version of Tink!

Thank you for the compliment. I was browsing through a book about the 'classical' pin-up artists at Booksamillion the other day and the idea of a pose just struck me. Like I said in the description above, my fiance wanted me to draw a Tinkerbell for her, so that gave me an excuse to draw Tink the way I did!

Glad you like my pic!

I want to use photoshop more often and any constructive comments/ideas I can get is much appreciated.

For the background I found a picture of roses grouped together. What I did was use the bas relief filter (under the sketch filter pulldown) with the light blue and off white color selected in my color pallet.

No, indeed not. I'm never seen a more mature looking Tinkerbell before, but I like her! A constructive PS colouring comment: you could do with cleaning the lineart a little more (I can still see some pencilly/linearty marks on the leg just under the hem of her skirt, for example). Because I get critiqued for messy lineart the whole time, I find my eyes go straight to slight messiness on other people's lineart. I like the bg, though - which effects did you use to do that?

Interesting! I'll have to try that. Which version of PS are you using, out of interest? I have 7 so it's a little antiquated...

As for a constructive idea... brushes made by people on DA are absolutely fantastic to use on PS and can really transform pieces. I recommend checking out ~rL-Brushes and *redheadstock .

I got 6.0 so you are better off than me in that aspect!

I've seen those effects you used on your more later pieces. Yes i will definatly go chech them out!

Thanks again!
