Here it is! There's still some minor nitpicking to do, but this is basically what it will look like in the finished cosplay. Wig and ear thrown on for dramatic effect.
All parts were made (and wig was styled) by moi. The sword is plywood, electrician's tape on the handle, and the gems are epoxy that I mixed, poured and dyed myself. Huzzah for science!

Do you by any chance have any recommendations of another material to make this with? I typically make my props with paper mΓ’chΓ©, but for a blade this thin, I want to avoid doing so if I can. I'm in a bit of a bind because I've just been extremely unorganized with cosplay work this year, and with less than three weeks until our major convention, I only just remembered that I had completely forgotten about all the props I'll need. So any help and advice you can give to me would just be awesome if you can offer some!

A material that I've been using relatively recently is EVA foam mats. I'm not sure how well it would work for a sword, though, since cutting something so long out of it might make it a little flimsy (but don't worry, it's pretty durable stuff). Perhaps if you use 2 layers and place a support such as an aluminum rod in between them, it'll work out. You might have to do this anyway since one side of each sheet is often textured.
I can't think of any other good materials I have experience with for now, but I'll get back to you if something comes into my head.

Ok so, I'm not sure why I did this, but I did some research for makeup to see if maybe I can help you out. Wow are there soo many different makeup company's, now I still suggest you do some of your own research if you haven't already, because I'm not totally sure if this make up color foundation will last long on the Skin or not rub off on the clothes etc etc. bbuuuttt. Yeah. ok SOOO there is this one company called Ben Nye.
Ok so. They do have Grey here, in CL-26. [link] And it's relitivally cheep.
Now It might be a bit dark and you can easily mix it with this kind of White. [link] and If you want to mix it with some idk liquid skin color base or something to give the tiny bit of Tan he has in his Skin you can do that too. And you can chose what ever liquid base of some normal skin color you think would be the right shade to mix it in with. Good liquid base btw is by Loreal, comes in a cute little glass bottle. So that might work. But I know you have grey leggings or something? so ya know. how ever you want to match that color and stuff is up to you. after all, it would look a little funny seeing your legs a different color than the rest of you lolz.
Now I've heard the Mixing process can get a little messy, but idk some people are messy when others are not. :V so yeah.
some tips or something I can maybe give. I mean, idk if you wear make up normally lolz, but. Even though this is like theater paint and stuff, you still should do the same things for normal girly make up as well as with this lol. Like wash your face before you apply the makeup ya know, stuff like that. Also, with the grey foundation/base/body paint stuff (always remember that face paint is also the same thing as body paint so, don't get worried about the title of the product. like honestly you can use blush as eye shadow if you want. So feel free to experiment with other types of Makeup for something. :V V: :V ) When you put the grey on, you want to make two layers, one with a brush. (idk what tools you have errr whatever) but one thing is curtain by putting on 2 layers and blend and smooth and even it out with a makeup sponge. you have to do that. aanndd Powder. Powder helps the makeup from coming off or smudging off. The Neutral Set powder is colorless and is probably what you want. where you can find here [link] And powder makes the colored skin look less fake and blend better with the face. :>
SOOO as for a skin color base for Ghirahim, that's kinda what I found. now this person hasn't done a Ghirahim face thing, but by watching these two video's from her can really help you out with tips on how to use Ben Nye products and how to do it and stuff and using those traits for when you do it or something. And Like I said, maybe doing some deeper research on this product in worry of how long it last's or if it rubs off and stuff might be a good idea. but I hope this helped you in some way. :> If not thats completely fine. :> Don't feel like you have to use this or feel free to trash the idea. after all, I'm no expert on this, so you won't break my heart. :>
I can also give other makeup suggestions of like the lips or eye make up and stuff. (especially the eye makeup) :> so yeah, there you go. :>

Great research you've done there, that really helps! Especially that Corpse Bride tutorial. Thanks so much for helping me, for makeup is not my strong suit at all. XD Even when I was a lead in a musical I was in once, I managed to duck out of getting my makeup done for I found it too cumbersome. But this time, I definitely want to have good makeup. Ok cool you got pu rple eye liner. is it pencil or liquid or what is it?
Ya know, a good suggestion would be maybe using purple eye shadow, and out line it, or the shape and around the eye to be the clean Ghirahim shape but still have same color blends. Like if you used eye shadow and then using the eyeliner and make the line really thick for the shape and then go around the eye with eye shadow again and blend it into the inside of the eyeliner. (If that makes sense) but still be only purple. Like in the corps bride tutorial, if you see that she uses two different color blues for the dark blue around the eye, like how it's a lighter blue and then a darker blue in the crease of the eye and stuff and gave it a really cool effect and stuff. That might be an idea. and if you do maybe want to mess around with that, Sugar Pill makeup and Mac cosmetics would be really good. Sugar pill is incredibly strong pigmented. and If you are interested, this Guy, has some really nice tutorials, again not straight up Ghirahim, but you can maybe get some tips on how to use Sugar Pill, that is If your even interested in it. I mean, you're only wearing the cosplay. idk, a few times? you don't want to spend all your money on make up after all. lolz but if your interested. Sugar Pill makeup is great for deep color. [link] This is Micheal James, it's really funny how much of a makeup artist genius he is , and lol he's big on funny colored lips and lol he has white hair LOLZ. so also for anything with his stuff, (not just the eye's) you can get some tips off of his vids as well.
Oh yes and btw. Even though you don't see it in the game, and even using purple eye liner, I don't know how thick around the eye's you are going to make the purple being as Ghirahim as Super big purple frames around his eye. but if you are making the purple really thick like in the game, putting some thin thin thin black eyeliner on your eye's over the purple might look really nice.

oh man I would be nervous to use contacts. cuz I've never used them either. I need glasses though, like apparently my eyes are really REALLY bad for someone that doesn't wear glasses or contacts. but I hate glasses and they don't work with my hair, cuz my hair is basically always in my face partly, or at least my right eye does, so I want to get contacts instead. but I'm nervous about it. XD

I'm not that nervous, lol. I'm pretty much willing to do anything for cosplay. (I was considering shaving my eyebrows for this, but my friends were like, "Noooo! They might not grow back!") But don't worry, I'll be careful for the contacts. I already bought cleaning solution for them today.

oh wow really? lol well if you did, i wouldn't be too worried about them not growing back. Eye brows grow back lol don't worry. XD They might be a little thicker once they do though and you would obviously be walking around with no eyebrows for a while lol
