Actually here it depends on the elevation, direction of the hills with respect to the sun, etc. You can be in a mostly green valley right now, drive over a ridge, and the next area is at peak color. They are all going to be very colorful this season because we had a steady rain from March to August.

We had the same rain but all we seem to be getting is a very quick turn and drop on the really red leaves and not much happening anywhere else. I still have hopes to find that perfect solitary red tree in all it's splendor with a perfect backdrop against the sky.
