Acrylic on canvas 35.5cm x 45.5cm

My first still life since I was at school. At first I thought it was about the flowers but I realised while painting that I realy didnt care that much about them what I wanted to paint was the vase. That being said the thing that I am least happy with is the rose which wilted while I was painting and ended up being done from memory so I may redo it at some point. I had a dim warm light to the left and a stronger cool light on the right.

I am not happy with the lighting on this either. Both the picture (too flat) and the photo of the picture (washed out in the top right).
