nope, doctor 2 has given up hope, it doesn't matter to them, just one lost patient more. they can go back home and sleep well at the night. that's not right. burnt flames can be lit again so long they have a place to burn. it's their job to keep the place to burn there, and help to find a way to lit it again. but because they are assholes they don't understand that. what's lost is not necessarily gone.Β

Dood, you don't know.

They might get terrible nights knowing that they lose patients every now and then. They ask themselves "was everything done right and what more I could've done to save one?" They try really hard with the expertiese they were taught. They understand that they need to help people heal, but they are not perfect. If I was a doctor, I'd try my best too, but I too have limits and I'd have to live my own life aswell.
